Integrating SAP Variant Configuration LO-VC into Salesforce via Vigience Overcast CPQ
Vigience Overcast CPQ
Vigience Overcast CPQ allows you to integrate SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC) from ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA , into Salesforce. This integration has some unique features which we want highlight:
Overcast CPQ is a proven, out-of-the-box solution, available from the Salesforce AppExchange. It is fully supported and maintained by Vigience as a SaaS solution. This means no custom coding and a short, risk-free implementation project.
The following video shows a short demo on how Overcast CPQ can be used in combination with Salesforce Opportunities:
One of our customers, that is using Overcast CPQ, is a leading semiconductor manufacturer. They do all their quotations via the combination of Salesforce, Overcast CPQ and SAP. You can find our case study here.
Enhanced functionality like BOM explosions and multi-level configuration are supported.
SAP-based Variant Configuration and Pricing can be added to Salesforce Opportunities, Quotes, Orders and CPQ Quotes.
Overcast CPQ also integrates with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
An integration with Salesforce-based 3rd party tools like Apptus CPQ is also available.
With Overcast CPQ you can add rich-text, images, videos and more to SAP configuration options in Salesforce, making joint configurations with prospects in front of the same computer much easier and compelling.
This allows you to re-use the investment in SAP LO-VC from within Salesforce without any friction. Users will love the ease-of-use and the fact that they can now exclusively work in Salesforce, and don’t need to switch to SAP for the quoting anymore.
Without Overcast CPQ, Salesforce objects like opportunities and quotes can only be accurate if users switch between systems to perform the variant configuration in SAP. Or – even worse – they need to ask somebody else to do it for them.
This leads to a longer processing time and customers need to wait longer for their quote. And customer self-service is also not possible.
On the other hand – if Overcast CPQ is in place – sales reps can perform 100% of their work in Salesforce without switching to another system, including quote creation, live pricing and workflow approvals.
The integration happens in real time, that means that no business logic needs to be duplicated. Instead, all the configuration logic and the pricing rules can stay within the SAP backend system. Customer extensions to the pricing and variant configuration logic also continue to work.
Because of the real time nature of our solution, changes to the configuration in SAP are immediately available from within Salesforce.
Conclusion
Overcast CPQ, in combination with the other more than 150 Overcast components, can significantly increase the productivity of your Salesforce users. If you want to know more, please get in touch with us.
