The quote-to-cash process at the customer is lengthy and complex, involving multiple systems from Salesforce CPQ, SAP Variant Configurator (VC), SAP Global Trade (GTS), and external contract management. With SAP as the system of truth for Configuration and Pricing, the customer needed a solution to seamlessly integrate SAP VC rules and pricing into Salesforce CPQ to eliminate duplicate maintenance and errors.

Overcast connects SAP S/4 HANA, SAP GTS, and Salesforce CPQ into a seamlessly integrated quote-to-cash process flow. Quotes are configured in Salesforce CPQ based on SAP variant configuration rules and pricing conditions, and orders sent to SAP for fulfillment. CPQ Renewals and Amendments process are also tightly integrated with SAP. To support that, Business Partner and Product master data is synchronized between Salesforce and SAP, and credit status checks and credit line increase requests are handled through Overcast add-ons for Salesforce.

The real-time configuration and pricing integration guarantees that quotes and orders are correct from the start, eliminating errors and increasing efficiency. Users do not have to switch between systems and the automation of the process across systems ensures timely processing from quote to subscription and through to renewals.
